Frankly, I have mixed feelings about how genuinely purpose-driven the Old Spice campaign is; it's definitely a great example of effective 21st-century imaginative, interactive, and purpose-related marketing. What do you think?
With the feminine protection campaign, I see more genuine purpose, especially as it is linked to keeping young people in schools. (I see I'm wrestling with the idea of huge multinational corporations being genuinely committed to making the world a better place.)
And how about the Olympics ads?
Watch it and comment on it!
I think that every company has to be willing to change the world- or convince the consumers that they are willing to change the world. If it would be all about the money, people would perceive it and would not have a positive reaction towards it. I think that all the commercials presented in this video (some more than others) tried to convince the consumer that they wanted to change the world. I believe that for a company to be successful it has to have a clear purpose than truly follow it.
