Homework for Thursday 2/1

For Thursday 2/1:

Read Chapter 1 "Mapping Success" of the Beeching, and make sure you have ordered it from Amazon.  (Or anywhere else--that's the Amazon link.)

Write out your answers to the seven "Career Forward" questions on page 20.

Look through the following websites (some of which are mentioned in the Beeching, and some :

As you look at them, consider ways in which each represents some of the "21st Century" aspects we discussed in class:

• project based careers
• portfolio careers
• self-initiated projects
• social engagement
• use of current technology for marketing
• multi-genre (or genre-merging)
• interdisciplinary (combing music with other arts)
